Sandhead Bay is famous for its sunrises.
This morning I did like the sun: I got up early! As Sandhead residents tell me, they like to walk on the beach in the morning. I sacrificed a few hours of sleep but I’m glad I followed their advice. The show is beautiful! With its sandy beach spread over nearly 2 km, Sandhead beach is ideal to see the sun rise. The bay faces east and there are no rocks or trees to hide the horizon. It is with emotion that I see the sun show up, little by little. The day begins well, the sky is clear. It gives me the energy to go visit the Rhins of Galloway Peninsula!
