To make a Scot happy, give them a good camera.

In Scotland, we often meet people passionate about photography. More than anywhere else, I find. If you go to a bookstore, you’ll find plenty of photography books. It is probably due to the beauty of the landscapes. On the Isle of Skye, I saw a lot of hikers, with several lenses in their bag, in addition to a bottle of water. It’s true that you’d want to capture everything: the mountains that plunge into the sea, the stone bridges, the coastline drawn by the sea. Here, everything is spectacular. The Scottish weather is also a chance for the amateur of beautiful atmospheres. Over here, the weather changes constantly. The sun can illuminate everything, and in a matter of minutes clouds can pile up and give the whole scenery a mysterious air. Everything is beautiful! Just be patient, to find the right angle, and trigger at the right time.
